Exercise ECG and Lung Function Tests

Exercise ECG testing allows the clinician to assess the response to exercise and includes heart rate, rhythm, blood pressure, exercise capacity and ECG changes to be assessed dynamically as a screen for cardiovascular disease.

Many individuals, and in particular athletes, experience airway narrowing during exercise. This can be because of asthma or more commonly due to exercise induced bronchospasm. Pre and post exercise lung function tests are easily performed screening tests.
